Palace of Fine Arts – San Francisco, CA

When we went tPhoto credit: Pixabay.como San Francisco it was because my mother in law was having treatment for leukemia, so we didn’t go for fun, but we did find some time to walk around and see some sights.  We went to Pier 39 and the waterfront on the bay where we saw several yachts that could have been owned by an Onasis.

Our motel was on Lombard Street and we walked from there, down Laguna to the Marina and over to the Palace of Fine Arts.  We accidentally found that by seeing the rotunda from the water front.  I had no idea what it was but is surely stood out.  Beautiful place to take photos.  It is enormous.  It was free to walk around outside and we took a few photos.  The day we were there, inside the building, they were having a science fair for kids and there was an entrance fee.
